Thin nori dipped in tempura batter, fried crisp, and finished with a fiery togarashi-style blend.
About This Product
A step up from roasted seaweed snacks. Thin nori is dipped in a crisp tempura batter, fried, then finished with a spicy seasoning inspired by Japanese shichimi (togarashi). Seaweed umami, tempura crunch, and chili-garlic-paprika heat layer into something heartier and bolder than a plain seaweed snack. Interestingly, the nori comes from a Korean seaweed farm and it's made in Thailand.
US reviewers compare it to the upscale bar snack you'd get instead of nuts — it holds its own as a drinking snack.
How to Enjoy
- With beer or soju — salty, spicy, crisp — a top drinking snack.
- On its own — umami and heat keep you reaching.
- With ceviche or sashimi — the bag pairs it with seafood.
- Over rice bowls — crumbled for an umami crunch.
- On salad or soup — crushed as a crisp accent.
This one's a good fit if
- You love seaweed snacks
- You enjoy spicy umami snacks
- You like a crispy fried texture
- You want a beer or soju snack
Why Korean Customers Reach for This
Roasted seaweed snacks are ubiquitous in Korea, but nori dipped in tempura batter, fried, and spiced togarashi-style is a variation rarely found here. It upgrades the familiar seaweed snack with 'tempura plus heat' — a bar-snack twist that gives seaweed fans something new.
