Trader Joe's original Chili Onion Crunch (the oily jar version) became viral on social media in 2021. This Sprinkle blend captures the same base — onion, garlic, dried bell peppers, chili flakes, plus brown sugar and Szechuan pepper — but in a dry shaker form. No oil means more versatile applications and longer shelf life.

Tasting notes: Crispy fried onion bits provide texture and savoriness. Brown sugar adds sweetness that balances the heat. Szechuan pepper provides that distinctive tongue-tingling sensation (mala).
