1. Wash your hands, then unwrap and check that the string is secure.
2. Hold the tampon at its base, ready to insert by hand.
3. Insert with a finger until comfortable.
4. Change at least every 8 hours, as stated on the package.
5. Wrap the used tampon and put it in the bin — never flush it.
